The Fort Knox of Doors
A good front door should keep you as safe as houses!
That’s the message from Apeer Doors, makers of leading edge composite door and entrance systems. In an age when security counts as much as design–led looks and the highest levels of insulation, the British–based company has taken security features to near Fort Knox standards!
Apeer doors incorporate, as standard, the unique cylinder technology of Yale’s secure lock systems. The cylinder has been tested to the highest grade of the BS EN 1303:2005 standard and is fully approved by the BSI and holds the Kitemark. It is drill, pick and force resistant and additional keys can only be ordered from approved key cutters.
Said company spokeswoman Linda Tomb: “This is a very high specification cylinder and offers end users complete peace–of–mind. Homeowners are increasingly concerned about security, particularly in view of the widespread number of break–ins done by ‘bumping’ and other forms of cylinder manipulation. Our doors offer optimum resistance against physical attack and break–ins.”
“With ‘Secured by Design’ police approval Apeer doors also feature a solid, steel–reinforced frame design. The double rebated construction offers additional security and with two steel hinge bolts fitted as standard to secure the door to the frame they are quite simply impossible to kick down!”
